Crown Center named one of America's Best

The Crown Center at Laurel Lake has been recognized by US News & World Report as one of America’s Best Nursing Homes for 2018-2019.

In the report released Oct. 30, 2018, the Crown Center was one of 2,975 facilities designated by U.S. News & World Report as Best Nursing Homes. It’s one of only 1,837 facilities nationwide to receive the Overall High Performer rating. Of Ohio’s 968 licensed nursing homes, only 69 have earned this distinction.

More than 15,000 skilled nursing facilities across the U.S. were rated based on in-depth analysis of data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Metrics such as staffing levels, health inspections and quality measures were considered. The analysis of quality of
care is intended to help families have a starting point in researching facilities that excel in the care they need.

Crown Center’s inclusion in this prestigious list is the latest affirmation of excellent care provided by Laurel Lake staff in our assisted living and skilled nursing neighborhoods. In July 2018, Crown Center achieved a Five-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. And in September, our Greenwood Assisted Living neighborhood was named to the Plain Dealer’s list of Top 25 Residential Care Facilities in Northeast Ohio, based on the Ohio Department of Aging’s 2017 Resident Satisfaction Survey findings.
