Laurel Lake announces new CEO

Laurel Lake Retirement Community, a regional leader in not-for-profit senior housing and healthcare services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony W. Berardi, LNHA as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 3, 2025.

Anthony BerardiBerardi will carry the Laurel Lake mission forward with his deep commitment to all aspects of not-for-profit senior living. With over 20 years of industry experience, Berardi has a proven track record of promoting operational excellence and driving strategic growth to enhance the lives of residents and their families, and to mentor and inspire a welcoming, customer-focused workforce.

For the past nine years, Berardi has served as President and Administrator of Springfield Masonic Community in Springfield, Ohio, a large CCRC with 350 residents and 250 employees, a member of The Ohio Masonic Communities. Previously, he was Director of Admissions for Lake Vista of Cortland us into an exciting new chapter.” (now known as Ohio Living Lake Vista) for 10 years. Prior to that he gained sales, marketing and business development experience working with other senior living facilities.

Berardi holds a BS in Technology from Kent State University and earned his Licensed Nursing Home Administrator certification through the Board of Executives and Long Term Services and Supports (BELTSS) in Columbus, Ohio.

Berardi will succeed David Oster, who has served the Laurel Lake community with compassion and dedication since 2005. Oster announced his resignation in mid 2024 to the board of directors. Under Oster’s leadership, Laurel Lake has thrived during challenging times such as the 2008 global financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, and has successfully navigated periods of major growth including a Crown Center skilled nursing facility expansion in 2012, and the seven-year, $13 million Town Center Expansion & Renovation in 2014-2021. Laurel Lake is grateful for David’s leadership over the past two decades and we wish him and his family all the best.
