 Pay Rate:  $12.48 - $18.73/hr.

 *** This position would be full time (40 hrs. per week) working from 9:30am-6:00pm.  

 

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the residents, families, visitors and staff of Laurel Lake by performing all tasks using established policies and procedures and the effective use of tested cleaning chemicals and equipment.  Perform all phases of floor and carpet care programs.  Complete misc. housekeeping duties as needed and trash removal.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to read warning labels on hazardous chemical containers and MSDS sheets.
  • Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
  • Must have previous experience stripping and waxing of hard surfaces.
  • Must have previous experience in cleaning and extracting of carpeted areas.
  • Basic computer skills.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Must be able to lift and carry a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push equipment on wheels weighing a maximum of 250 lbs.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work as a team or alone.
  • Must be able to interface with people of all levels in a positive and professional manner.

 

PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintain cleanliness of all floor coverings by dusting, vacuuming, wet mopping, stripping, finishing, buffing, spot cleaning, bonnet cleaning and extracting.
  • Able to move resident belongings as instructed for scheduled cycle cleaning, Donated items abandoned by residents, and for scheduled carpet cleaning as assigned.
  • Able to remove, relocate, and reset furniture as it was found prior to cleaning. 
  • Emergency response to unexpected release of  liquids and prevent further destruction of assets and promote a healthy environment in a timely fashion. 
  • Follow through with completion of scheduled carpet and floor care assignments.
  • Maintains sanitation of back receiving dock, including dumpster.
  • Remove biohazard materials, sharps and dispose in appropriate cylinder.
  • Keep work area and equipment clean and sanitary.
  • Attend mandatory in-services and meetings.
  • Embracement of mission and values in accordance with laurel Lakes standards of conduct.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and must be able to work weekends, holidays, variable shifts and overtime when required.
